- The CPL filter is used for VIOFO A119MINI2/ A129 Duo / A129 Pro Duo / A129 Plus Duo / A119 V3 / A119 dash camera, suitable for A129 Duo both front and rear lenses.
- Protect camera lens from finger prints, scratches and dirt destroying.
- Reduce reflections and glare from glass, metals or shiny surfaces that would damage image quality, this works in the same way as polarized sunglasses.
- Make colors more saturated

This just feels like VIOFO is trying to nickel and dime their customers. This could have easily been integrated into their cameras. Having to purchase this filter just adds additional cost to what is a great dash cam.
This is a good idea, but it could add rainbow artifacts to the video when lights are under certain angle or tint window.
While looking for information for polarizing filters for my Viofo A229 Plus, I didn't see any details about which filter CPL-100 or CPL-200 was meant for the front or rear facing camera. Looking at a handful of YT videos, it became apparent that the front camera uses the CPL-200, the rear uses the CPL-100.To seat the circular filter seems straight-forward but it wouldn't go on readily, but tilting it slightly as it was pushed into place worked, along with using a bit of force. Be sure to align the white mark on the filter's ring with the white mark on the camera lens shell. To seat the CPL-100 I had to tilt the unit slightly to catch the underside of the camera, then swing the top side into place, and with a bit of force, it clicked into place between the rear class and the camera. In the process of installing the front lens I saw that the lens protection film on the camera was *still in place. Doh! Now the videos don't have that unusual blueish tint, and the glare is markedly reduced.
These definitely make a difference for the glare from the dashboard. In the picture I attached the pictures without the filter are on the left. The pictures with the filter are on the right.
Does more harm than good . Not worth it .
