Does not work with Godox strobe. The strobe's pins get trapped in the holes of the shoe and you cannot remove it once it is on. I had to cut it off of the strobe. It may work with other strobes but not a Godox.
I bought this as an add on for a Mevo Core that doesn't have a shoe, but has multiple 1/4" slots. Works perfectly. I would highly recommend for similar needs. Construction is good and the screw / tool it comes with are good quality
This part is toleranced terribly. Absolutely none of my cold shoe accessories fit snuggly in this mount. They all are so loose they fall right out. Useless product.
As advertised - solid - how can you screw this up? not possible
I use Canon Vixia camcorders to record YouTube videos and was seeking a way to mount small monitors to allow the subjects to see themselves as I record. The monitors mount in a cold shoe, but the camcorders lack that feature. The cold shoes have a screw hole to allow mounting and I mounted them to a bar allowing multiple devices to be mounted. The system works great: camcorder and monitor are mounted on the bar which is mounted on a quick release allowing the subject to see themselves video as it’s recorded.
