The barebones keyboard switches are backlit RGB SMD LED compatible so our ABS keycaps become extra bright and easy to read. You can swap and 3 pin Mechanical clicks, linear, or tactile mechanical switches with this board.
OEM Layout: A standard ANSI layout with standard sized bottom row makes GMMK widely compatible with 3rd party standard keycaps available in the current marketplace - with brands like Keychron, Akko, RK Royal Kludge, Epomaker etc and with wide range of color like white black or pink keycaps makes the board pop out. The full aluminum metal top plate and ABS plastic bottom plate makes the build perfect for fine sound tuning - be it clacky or thocky.

Cheap caps and poor quality switch

Spacebar getting stuck and keys are falling off less than a year of use. First keyboard to fall apart less than a year.. do no recommend.

Damaged Keycaps

Overall, the keyboard is good. Sounds nice, looks nice, has some cool options for RGB lighting that you can change on the fly, but as a gamer, I have a problem with the Left Shift key and Enter key.The outer posts for the Enter key cap chipped at some point three months in. For the most part, the key is still useable, but there's a chance of it slipping sideways and falling off. The Left Shift key meanwhile needs to be pressed in the center of the key. Seems like a minor detail, but when you're gaming, your pinky may not always be in the very center of the key. Often, I'm pressing down on the edge of the key which doesn't register as a press on the key. When gaming, pressing a key and getting no response can be extremely irritating and can get me killed! It's just as frustrating when typing and I can't capitalize a letter without having to stop and adjust my hand to press the right spot on the Shift key.Again, overall an okay keyboard, but I've never had another one near this price with two important keys being less than perfect.

Spacebar may require modification

Nice feeling keyboard. One issue with it, though, is that the spacebar sometimes does not work. I read that it can be fixed with a modification on Reddit but I have not attempted the repair yet.

Great Full-size option!

This is a elegant great open frame full size keyboard. Supports NKEY RO The switches fit snugly and can be a little bit of a bear to get out. The LEDS are north facing and supports all the basic windows controls via FN+ inputs. Software is simple and lack luster which makes it so much nicer than some of these other mfg. bloat ware apps. The USB cable on the full frame is not removeable but consists of a high-quality sheathed cable. No usb ports or connectivity on this model either.If you're looking for a quality elegant solution in full size form with the ability to swap switches, program macros, and customize lighting You would be hard-pressed to find a better chassis. Its design is a bit dated in the world of mech DIY keyboards now but that does not mean is not a quality bit of kit.
